Welcome to the Blush! Photography Blog. Women's photography with a twist of fun beauty tips and inspiring articles.

Our Story

A chance meeting at a local mommy group brought Stephanie and Michelle together to create Blush!. What started out as chatting about their baby girls, led to discovering a bevy of other similarities, including their love of photography, blogging, all things creative and even hip hop music!

After endless hours spent yapping about photography they realized there was a gap in the industry. There were photographers who specialized in families. Some specialized in weddings. There are even photographers who take pictures of your food. But what about a photographer that was there to capture the special moments with your girlfriends? Like the bachelorette parties, baby and bridal showers? Or even a 30th or 50th birthday party? You could hire a special events photographer, but then that comes with a hefty price tag. Realizing these were all very special milestones in a woman’s life, there was no reason why they shouldn’t be beautifully captured.

So from their love of photography, girlfriends and fun parties, Blush! was born.

So who are the gals behind the lens?

Michelle:
As a bay area native, wife and mother, life is good. Once my daughter was born I realized that being a slave to the corporate world was no longer for me thus beginning my career as a photographer. I have a passion for capturing moments in time and revealing life’s true beauty. I enjoy yoga, photography, and running short distances (no marathons for me). I stay up too late and curse myself for it each morning. My favorite food is string cheese and I still *string* it the same way I did as a kid.

Stephanie:
Also a bay area native, the last ten years of my life have been concentrated towards Sales and Marketing. I have always had a soft spot for photography. Once it was introduced as an elective class in high school, it became my passion and I haven’t stopped taking photos since. Becoming a stay at home mom for the first time after 15 years of working in a cubicle was quite an adjustment for me, but one of the most amazing adventures I have ever been on. I also enjoy wine with friends, traveling and spending time with my crazy family.
